Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport (KOA) is the main international airport serving the Island of Hawaii, in United States. It is located in Kalaoa, about 15 km away from Kona city centre, and serves Western Hawaii island, including the town of Kailua-Kona and the resorts of the North Kona and South Kohala districts. Kona International Airport has 3 passenger Terminals within the same passenger building:

Terminal 1

With Gates 1-5, United Airlines, Baggage Claim 3 area, Group Tour area, taxi axxess, Car rental, Restaurants, shops and many other services and facilities. 

Terminal 2

With Gates 6-10, Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Delta Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines, inspection stations, wheelchairs available, Ellison S. Onizuka Space Center, Car rental and many other services and facilities.

Terminal 3

It is the Commuter Terminal with Taxi service, Baggage Claim areas, Wheelchairs, Car rental, inspection stations and many other services and facilities.

- Lockers and Storage: the baggage lockers and the storage services are temporarily suspended at KOA Airport. 

- Internet: currently the airport doesn’t offer a Wifi service.

- Persons with disabilities: all the facilities at KOA Airport building are designed for passengers with mobility impairments to be comfortable. 

- Animals and Pets: dogs are not consideres pets. Guide/Service dogs may qualify for modified State of Hawaii rabies quarantine import requirements under strictly enforced conditions.
