Types of Parking at KOA
Short-Term Parking
The short-term parking lot is located directly across from the main terminal building, making it the most convenient option for quick visits, passenger pick-ups, and drop-offs. This area is ideal for travelers who plan to stay at the airport for only a few hours.
Because of its proximity to the terminal entrance, short-term parking allows passengers to reach the check-in area in just a few minutes on foot.
If you are meeting arriving passengers, short-term parking is usually the easiest option since you can wait close to baggage claim.
Long-Term Parking
Long-term parking areas are designed for travelers leaving their vehicles for several days. These lots are located slightly farther from the terminal but still within comfortable walking distance. Long-term parking offers lower daily rates compared to the short-term lot and is ideal for extended trips or vacations.
Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment is usually made through automated machines or upon exit.
If you plan to leave your car for more than two days, the long-term parking area provides significantly better value.
