The Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA) Master Plan and Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study Team organization allows each member to focus on their particular area of expertise while interacting and coordinating with each other and the state airport division (DOT-A) to move the project ahead rapidly.
Kober Hannsen Mitchell Architects (KHMA) has assembled an exceptionally qualified consulting Team to assist the DOT-A with the preparation of a master plan and noise compatibility study for KOA. Each member of the Team has worked together on projects of similar scope and size in the past and each has recent experience in providing successful projects for the DOT-A.

The KHMA team is a Hawaii-led team with strong participation from both local and Mainland firms with specific skills needed to create a successful Master Plan and Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study for the KOA. KHMA has led planning studies of comparable size, and brings to this project not only in depth knowledge of the technical issues related to built environment, but experience in land use planning and development in the State of Hawaii, particularly on the Big Island.
