In April, while waiting for my baggage I saw a couple of Japanese Tourist standing at the doorway with smiles on their faces as they looked and pointed towards Hualalai Mountain. Two other female couple walking towards the terminal stopped and spun around to look towards the ocean, pointed seaward and started taking some pictures. They must have been surprise to see such beauty the moment they stood at the doorway. I totally agree with them.
So, who says Kona Airport needs jet ways? Certainly not them. They must have liked what they saw! AND KONA LIKES TO REMAIN THAT WAY.

It would be VERY helpful if your website included links to view the entire layout of the master plan, both plan view and renderings of the proposed project with specifics of locations. There doesn't seem to be any links here that provide much useful information.

Why not move ahead with ramps into a "real" terminal. It's tough for older folks and physically impaired folks to go up and down those stairs. Maybe the airlines could help with financing such a project(don't count on it). Good for a stimulus project. The baggage area and system is a laugh. Not a great introduction to a great place to visit.
